Who provides the app

Information stored on your device

The app stores recordings, transcripts, reminders, tasks, notes, events, lists, scheduling information, processing jobs, settings and local diagnostic information in its app storage. This information is used to provide capture, organization, reminders and recovery. Processing diagnostics remain local unless you choose to share them.

Local AI and model downloads

Whisper speech recognition and Qwen text processing run on the device. Required models are downloaded separately over HTTPS from Hugging Face. The download provider receives ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and requested model file. Your recording or reminder text is not part of those model-download requests. After setup, core voice processing and reminders can work offline.

Google Play purchases

An optional one-time purchase unlocks continued voice and AI capture after the trial. Google Play processes the transaction under its own terms and privacy policy. The app receives product, purchase, receipt and entitlement information to validate the purchase, acknowledge it and restore access. Nocito does not receive your card details. Purchase verification and a cached entitlement are stored locally; no Nocito purchase account or developer-operated verification server is required. Offline access may remain cached until Google Play can be checked again.

Sharing you choose

You can export data, save a backup, share a file or enable a paired local desktop connection. These actions can transfer selected information, including recordings when selected, to the destination or browser you choose. That destination may be a cloud-storage provider if you explicitly select one in Android. The optional desktop feature uses local HTTP, not an encrypted HTTPS connection. Pairing restricts access but does not encrypt network traffic. Enable it only on networks and computers you trust, and turn it off when you no longer need it. We do not provide automatic cloud synchronization or developer-hosted backups.

Permissions

Microphone access is needed when you record a voice entry.
Notifications, alarms and related background permissions support reminders and ongoing processing.
Network access supports model downloads, Google Play and optional local desktop access.
System file selection and sharing are used when you choose a backup, restore or export destination.

You can manage permissions in Android settings. Denying recording permission does not prevent manual entry. Disabling notifications or alarm permissions can prevent timely reminders.

Retention, deletion and backup

You control original-recording retention in Settings. The app protects recordings still needed by unfinished processing. Deleting a recording does not delete its reminder text. You can edit or delete items and make local backups or exports. Android automatic cloud backup is disabled for app data. Clearing app storage or uninstalling removes local app data; exported copies remain wherever you saved them. Keep your own backups if you want recovery after device loss.

Analytics and advertising

The app does not include an advertising service or a Nocito analytics service that uploads your private content. Local diagnostics are not an automatic cloud crash-reporting feed. Google Play and Android may independently process store, purchase, security or platform diagnostics under their own policies.

Security and your choices

Private app storage and Android security controls restrict access to local files. Device security and the destinations you choose also affect privacy. There is no developer-held copy of your reminders to recover or delete remotely. You can exercise access, correction, portability and deletion through the app and Android storage controls. If you contact support, share only the information needed; your email and any attachments are handled by the email provider and used to respond to your request.
